What is GGE Hysplit Helper
GGE Hysplit Helper is software written in the Java programming language for the GGE Department at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania to help facilitate running NOAA hysplit trajectory calculations over a large archived data set.
Features of GGE Hysplit Helper currently include the abilities to
- Download archived data efficiently from the following databases: EDAS 40, EDAS 80, GDAS, FNL, NGM, and Reanalysis
- Acts as a front end to the archived version of the NOAA Hysplit software
- Run Hysplit Trajectories over the downloaded data using parameters passed in through a simple ASCII file
